Blue Watch Continues to Minister<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the postponement of our Spring Conference, Blue Watch continues to minister to officers.<\/p>\n

In April, after an hours-long standoff, Florence PD officers fatally shot a suspect that was involved in a shooting earlier that morning. This was the second recent officer-involved shooting for Florence officers. Blue Watch sent copies of Tim Rupp\u2019s book \u201cWinning A Gunfight\u201d to Chief Ron Tyler to be given to these officers. If you were able to hear Tim speak last year when he visited Birmingham, you know how critical it is to get this into the hands of officers, particularly those involved in shootings. Please keep these officers and their families in your prayers.<\/p>\n

Recently, Blue Watch partnered with Shades Mountain Baptist Church to host a cookout for officers at the Vestavia Hills Police Department. The cookout was to show appreciation for all they are doing for their community in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n
