As we all know law enforcement is one of, if not, the most stressful professions there is. The stress is not only experienced by the officers but their family as well. If not recognized and dealt with, it can lead to a breakdown in the family which often results in divorce.<\/span><\/p>\n Blue Watch is happy to announce that plans are underway for a spouse\u2019s event coming late January 2021. Our speaker will be Anjuli Thompson, a professional counselor experienced in dealing with the traumas of law enforcement. This will be a virtual event so you can join from anywhere. These series will meet the second Tuesday each month February \u2013 November, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, at the Vestavia Hills Police Department. This is an in-depth yet practical series of workshops that will incorporate necessary elements a law enforcement leader needs to excel both personally and professionally.<\/span><\/p>\n The content of the series focuses on providing tools to create a highly effective leader who not only accomplishes goals efficiently, but also knows how to motivate and guide their subordinates to personal and professional excellence. You can take a single session or enroll in all 10 at a discounted rate. Those who successfully complete all sessions will receive a certificate in Strategic Leadership and be eligible for more advanced leadership training including mentorship. All attendees will receive APOST credit.
