April Highlights<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Blue Watch had the pleasure of hosting the April meeting of the Metropolitan Criminal Justice Executives Association (MCJEA) at the Homewood Senior Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officer Outreach<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In recent weeks Blue Watch reached out to the Jefferson County Sheriffs\u2019 Department and Huntsville Police Department as both experienced officer-involved shootings. Jefferson County deputies encountered violent suspects on both April 3 and 20. On March 28, officers from the Huntsville Police Department were ambushed when they responded to a shots fired call. The two responding officers were shot, resulting in the death of Officer Garrett Crumby and critically injuring Officer Albert Morin.
