Welcome Our Newest Board Member<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blue<\/span>\u00a0Watch<\/span>\u00a0is excited to announce Mrs. Venita Wesley will be joining our Board of Directors. Mrs. Wesley is\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0native of Columbus, Ohio and\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0graduate of Tennessee State University where she earned\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education. She is\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0retired educator from\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Birmingham City Schools where she served over 30 years as\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0Family and Consumer Science Teacher.<\/span><\/p>\n

Venita is very involved in community service. She is\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0United Negro College Fund, Susan G. Komen of North Central Alabama, Tennessee State Alumni Association \u2013 Birmingham Chapter President plus many other charitable and civic organizations. She is an active member of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where her husband, Dr. Michael Wesley serves as pastor. In her more than 30 years of membership at Greater Shiloh, she served in many roles some of which are Women\u2019s Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Greeters Ministry and director of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Fellowship Team.<\/span><\/div>\n

Her hobbies include reading and sewing and she is\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0proud mother to two sons and three grandchildren.<\/span><\/div>\n

The<\/span>\u00a02019 Fall Leadership Conference is Almost Here!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 2nd<\/span>\u00a0Annual Leadership Conference is Tuesday, October 22. Please join us in praying for\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0Lord\u2019s blessing on this event. This year\u2019s conference is titled<\/span>\u201cThe<\/span>\u00a0Power of Servant Leadership in Law Enforcement, How to Create Good People and\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0Great Environment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We have\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0tremendous lineup of speakers ready to address officers on\u00a0the<\/span>importance of humility. We are anticipating close to 100 officers from acrossthe<\/span>\u00a0state, many of who will be attending one of our events for\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0first time.<\/span><\/p>\n
